Tanya Narath

Chief Deputy Executive Director

Tanya Narath is the Chief Deputy Executive Director at SCTA/RCPA. In this role, Tanya is responsible for coordinating all SCTA/RCPA administration, accounting and finance, community outreach and engagement functions, and climate change programs. She is responsible for developing RCPA’s countywide climate strategy, coordinating climate action planning for RCPA’s ten member jurisdictions, and securing outside funding for climate action planning and implementation in each of the member jurisdictions and for RCPA-led programs.

Tanya has over 20 years of leadership and management experience in the fields of technology, sustainability, and community engagement. Prior to joining the SCTA/RCPA in September 2018, she held leadership positions in information technology with the County of Sonoma Department of Health Services, Agilent Technologies, and Hewlett Packard. She was the Executive Director and CEO of the Leadership Institute for Ecology and the Economy from 2005 through 2015. Tanya has a Master of Urban and Regional Planning degree, a certificate in geographic information systems for urban and regional planners, an MBA, and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
